C&W Berry

Founded in 1954 by Brothers Walter & Colin Berry as a joinery manufacturer in King Street, Leyland, the company is still family owned, with 3 generations of the family still actively working for the company. They take great pride that a number of staff have been with them for their entire working career, as well as some staff also being the 3rd generation of their family to work for the company.

After purchasing the current premises on Golden Hill Lane in 1961, the company began to specialise in importing & machining bulk timber, selling mainly to the building trade. This was soon expanded to a wide range of building materials, available to both the trade & DIY customers. The 60’s & 70’s saw the site expand greatly, & Berry’s soon became recognised as the region’s leading supplier of Building Materials. Today, the main sales sites covers over 24 acres, stocking over 23,000 products from Building Materials, Electrical & Lighting, Plumbing & Heating, Joinery Products, Power & Hand Tools, & practically anything needed in any Construction, Building or DIY project.

C&W Berry's commitment to stock & the quality of our service is what makes C & W Berry a truly unique merchant. Of their 210+ staff, many have a trade background, ensuring the advice they offer is top notch. Staff regularly undergo product training, keeping them up to date with the new products & innovations in the industry.

Situated in Leyland, Lancs., close to the M6/M61/M65 motorway interchange means they are easily accessible to customers from all over the North West. In turn, their fleet of 28 delivery vehicles can efficiently deliver orders large or small to building sites or your home address, throughout the region. Their vehicles are varied in size & type to suit the product & customer; many are equipped with mechanical offloading equipment for heavy & bulky products.
