Walls and Perennials
The Brief:
To create a garden which was a series of small, contrasting gardens with different themes and styles within a larger garden. The garden was originally sloping up away from the house. This garden was for a keen gardener. The space had to have an oriental area, a gated space for a dog and plenty of places to create planted beds.
The Garden:
The garden was terraced with a dressed stone wall to give two distinct tiers as well as alleviating the slope issue. The garden was divided into a large seating area with water feature, a parterre with armillary, a lawn, various perennial and shrub borders, a space for growing fruit and vegetables and an oriental garden complete with pool and tea house.
