Laurel is a vigorous growing evergreen hedge with lime green new leaves turning dark glossy green later in the year. Very popular as a hedge as it is dense and good for privacy.

Portuguese laurel is a classier cousin of it’s cousin Cherry Laurel. It has the same glossy green dense foliage, but it’s smaller leaves clip up into a hedge tighter.

 
 

Leylandii is a quick growing evergreen with dense, fragrant foliage. It is ideal as a wind break or a privacy hedge as long as it is clipped regularly to keep it formal.

Oleaster makes an attractive hedge with silvery green foliage which are silvery white on the flip side. It has white flowers that are fragrant which appear in the autumn.

 
 

Photinia can make a statement hedge, particularly in spring when the glossy new leaves are brilliant red in colour. Also has pretty white flowers in late spring.

Privet hedging is dense and evergreen/semi-evergreen in nature. It flowers in summer with delicate white flowers followed by black berries. Tolerant to pollution.

 
 
 
 

Yew is an evergreen English native with dense dark green foliage. It survives growing in a wide variety of soil types and is resistant to various weather conditions.

Western Red Cedar forms an evergreen hedge with bright green, glossy, aromatic foliage. They produce egg shaped cones approximately 1.3cm long.  

Golden Privet is a dense evergreen shrub with green leaves that have yellow varigation. It flowers small, dull white flowers and pruduces small black glossy berries later.

Grselinia have soft green oval-shaped glossy leaves. It is evergreen which offers privacy. It can tolerate harsh conditions so suitable for coastal regions.
